In mid-January next year, entry into the mainland of China will be fully opened, and the details are here!

12/27/2022

The release of epidemic prevention and control is not all bad news about the surge in infected people and the death of famous celebrities. There is also a good news that we have been waiting for for nearly three years, that is, the border of China will close in January 2023. Fully open before mid-term.

Open ports will be implemented in mid-January next year

This news is the good news brought by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong just after his report from Beijing.

Hong Kong media reported that the Chief Executive announced on December 24 that the completion of the Beijing report was completed. Beijing has agreed to gradually and orderly complete customs clearance. For customs clearance work, the goal is to reach a consensus with the National Health Commission, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, and the Shenzhen Municipal Government of Guangdong Province. The goal is to implement it in mid-January next year.

It was rumored that January 9 is an auspicious day for the switch, and people are looking forward to it. Now the Hong Kong government has officially announced the approximate time for customs clearance, indicating that the opening time for entering the mainland of China will be finalized before the Spring Festival. The Spring Festival this year is January 22.

Not only is the news released, but the Hong Kong government will also hold a meeting immediately to discuss the appropriate plan. It is expected that in the early stage of customs clearance, there will be a considerable demand for the number of customs clearance and risk management. It is necessary to avoid chaos, be safe and orderly, and take into account the changes in the epidemic situation in the two places, and try to strike a balance.

At the same time, an additional 700 appointments were made for the "Health Station" entering Shenzhen, or a total of 3,500 places per day. The increase in quota is interpreted as warming up for customs clearance in Hong Kong and the Mainland.

Overseas entry to Hong Kong 0+0, but there are small requirements

Hong Kong canceled the yellow code on December 14, and no need to scan the "safe travel" (whereabouts APP) when dining out, and became a "0+0" entry policy, but in fact when people enter Hong Kong, there are still a few requirements.

The current requirements for entering Hong Kong from the UK are:

Before departure:

1. Negative results of rapid antigen test within 24 hours;

2. Book your flight.

Departure documents:

Negative rapid antigen test results within 24 hours;

Complete the Health and Quarantine Information Declaration Form of the Department of Health.

Arriving at Hong Kong Airport:

One-stop registration at the sampling station on the arrival floor of Terminal 1, and nucleic acid testing and rapid antigen testing sampling on the spot, without waiting for the results at the airport.

Arrange your own transportation. That is, buses, subways, and taxis are optional.

Testing arrangement:

On the second day after arriving in Hong Kong (the day of arrival is the zeroth day), you need to go to a community testing center or other accredited testing institutions such as monitoring stations for nucleic acid testing;

Rapid antigen tests were performed daily from Days 1 to 5.

But the movement is no longer restricted, you can go wherever you want. Of course, once positive, you must self-quarantine at home or in a hotel.

Chengdu implements 2+3 entry pilot

Entering Hong Kong is a "0+0" policy, but in fact entering Chengdu from overseas is no longer a 5+3 (5-day hotel quarantine, 3-day home quarantine) policy. The actual situation is that Chengdu is implementing a 2+3 (2-day hotel quarantine, 3-day home quarantine) pilot policy.

A few days ago, it was reported among the group friends who were quarantined in Chengdu that the quarantine policy for entering Chengdu was changed to 2+3. On December 23, some Taiwanese tourists arrived in Chengdu. The quarantine was lifted on the afternoon of December 24th, which is even more certain. The current quarantine policy for entering Chengdu is 2+3.

Of course, the premise of lifting the quarantine in Chengdu is that the nucleic acid test must be negative, and an "entry quarantine home application form" must be signed, but because the domestic epidemic prevention policy has been greatly relaxed, and the health codes after the quarantine are all green codes, It is also impossible to track whether you are an immigrant, so some people say that you will be free after 2 days, no one will care about you, whether you are infected or not, you are the first person responsible.

Of course, it is the right way to consciously abide by the epidemic prevention policy. It can also be seen from the "Application for Entry Quarantine and Home Quarantine" of the Chengdu Quarantine Hotel that hotel quarantine + home quarantine is still required, and the total number of days added up to 8 days is sufficient. That is to say, the current 5+3 quarantine policy has not changed for the time being. In the pilot 2+3 only.

However, it is much better than before. Even if you test positive after entering the country, you will not be sent to the cabin, but will be allowed to stay in the hotel.

At present, only Chengdu is piloting 2+3, while Shanghai, Beijing, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places still maintain the 5+3 isolation policy.

Cities in China expected to fully open up entry from overseas

However, just like the good news brought to you by the Hong Kong Chief Executive, in mid-January, Hong Kong’s entry into the mainland of China was fully opened, which also means that all cities in China from overseas will be fully open. No matter where you enter the mainland of China, it should be zero. +3, or 0+0 policy.
